In 1988, Powell-Peralta placed an "Artist Wanted" advertisement in TWS and Thrasher magazines. The contest called for someone to join the Powell-Peralta art department in Santa Barbara, and the chosen artist was Sean Cliver. His illustration style bore a striking resemblance to VCJ, ultimately leading to his selection. When Cliver debuted his first deck design, the Barbee Ragdoll, it deviated from the traditional VCJ aesthetic. However, when tasked with revamping the Caballero dragon, Sean opted to channel the master's style.
Afterward, the graphic on the Caballero deck was dubbed the "Ban This" Dragon, as it had a prominent feature in a video, particularly during a slow-motion sequence. Originally released in 1988, the artwork was created by Sean Cliver. The deck has a width of 9.265" and a length of 32", with a wheelbase measuring 14.75". The deck features a nose and tail both measuring 6.5" and a short new school truck hole pattern.
The deck's shape is 192 with a concave K15 design. This includes the deck only, with griptape not included in the package.
