In the height of jump ramps' popularity in 1986, Powell-Peralta noticed a high rate of deck breakages. Determined to create stronger decks, they introduced Bonite construction and the "Gee-Gaw" shape with reinforced bump zones. Named by Chris Iverson, this shape was also featured in the iconic Skull & Sword graphic, originally produced from 1987 to 1988.

The Powell-Peralta Re-Issue Construction is carried out with precision by our partners in Mexico, using high-quality U.S. hard rock maple and specialized glue to prevent delamination. Backed by a warranty for the deck's useful life, these boards are crafted with the shape and graphics originating in Santa Barbara, CA.
