Powell Peralta Per Welinder Nordic Skull Skateboard Decks

Illustrated by V.C. Johnson in 1984, The Per Welinder Viking Skull graphic was created to honor Per's Swedish heritage. Originally designed for his freestyle model, the graphic did not include the rock texture background until an updated version was released in 1986. As Per began showcasing his skills in freestyle and street demos in 1987, a new full-length graphic featuring the Viking Skull was adapted for a street model.

The Runic stone lettering on the graphic spells out Per's name and includes his personal motto, "Search and strive, push beyond with strength, yours not theirs, that is the key." The graphic was also featured on T-shirts and stickers, becoming a popular design among fans.
