In the summer of 1984 at a Swedish summer camp, Mike McGill was perfecting the 540 McTwist while V.C.J. worked on a new deck graphic for him. The "Skull & Bones" theme was proving popular, so this was the chosen direction for McGill's new deck. Mike suggested adding a snake and lightning bolts to represent his home state of Florida, where these symbols are abundant. McGill's Skull & Snake design has become a classic skateboard icon.
The deck was originally released in 1984 with artwork by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. It has a deck width of 10 inches, a deck length of 30.125 inches, a wheelbase of 16.625 inches, a deck nose of 2.5 inches, and a deck tail of 6 inches. The truck hole pattern is Long 4 - 2.5" Old School Truck Hole Pattern.
The shape is 160 with a concave SP3. This listing is for the deck only, grip tape is not included.
